We also do not repair framed shower doors because there are many different manufacturers and proprietary parts, making it difficult to source the correct components and provide reliable repairs at a reasonable cost.If we buy a shower door from Home Depot, Lowes, online, etc., can you install it?
No. We only install shower enclosures and materials purchased directly through our shop. Since we cannot verify the quality, completeness, or compatibility of products purchased elsewhere, we are unable to guarantee their performance or accept liability for installation issues or product failures. This allows us to ensure every installation meets our quality standards.Are frameless showers expensive?
Frameless shower doors are considered a premium investment, but they are one of the most effective ways to upgrade your bathroom without the expense and disruption of a full renovation. Their sleek, modern appearance creates a more open and spacious feel while adding lasting value to your home.
The cost of a frameless shower enclosure depends on several factors, including the size of the enclosure, the type of hardware selected, the thickness and style of the glass, and the complexity of the installation. Because every enclosure is custom measured and built, pricing varies based on the specific requirements of your project.
How long is the process of getting a frameless shower?
Lead times vary depending on our schedule, but in most cases, your custom frameless shower enclosure will be professionally installed within two weeks after we receive your 50% deposit.Do you have a warranty on frameless showers?
Yes. We provide a one-year limited labor warranty and honor the manufacturer's warranty on all hardware. Although warranty service requests are uncommon, the most frequent ones involve routine door adjustments shortly after installation. This can occur as the hinge gaskets naturally compress during normal use. We may also address minor silicone gaps that appear shortly after installation. If these issues are related to our original installation, we will gladly correct them under our warranty.
Please note that reapplying or replacing silicone over the lifetime of the shower is considered routine maintenance and is the homeowner's responsibility. As such, ongoing silicone maintenance is not covered under our limited warranty.
What is the thickness of frameless shower glass?
More than 90% of our frameless shower enclosures are built using 3/8-inch clear tempered glass, which provides an excellent balance of strength, durability, and appearance. Depending on the design and structural requirements of your project, we may also use 1/2-inch clear tempered glass or a combination of 3/8-inch and 1/2-inch glass to achieve the best results.What kind of mirror do I need?
Mirrors come in 2 sizes: 1/8” and 1/4”. Vanity mirrors, gym mirrors, and backsplash mirrors are all 1/4”. Hanging decorative mirrors and handheld mirrors use 1/8” mirror.What is insulated glass?
Insulated glass is a unit made up of two or more glass panes sealed and sandwiched together with an air space between them. This system keeps the interior and exterior air temperatures separate, making the unit more energy efficient than a single pane of glass.I need glass, but I don’t know what I need?
Glass comes in several different thicknesses, and the use determines the thickness. Cabinet doors, garage door glass, single pane wood windows use 1/8” glass. Most desks, coffee tables, kitchen tables use 1/4” glass. Recessed glass into furniture is usually 3/16”. Patio furniture is typically 3/16 and tempered. Pedestal tables, decorative bar shelves, and shower glass use 3/8” or 1/2”. Glass does come in 3/4” but is rarely used.What is tempered glass and why do I need it?
Regular, annealed glass is heated in a furnace to a temperature of over 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit before rapidly cooling, which puts the glass into a state of compression. This results in the glass becoming 4 times stronger than regular (annealed) glass. Tempered glass is considered safety glass and is used where regulated by building or industry code or just to err on the side of caution.Do you cut glass?
Yes, we cut to size any size glass or mirror.One side of my double pane window is broken; can you fix it?
Unfortunately, once one side is broken, the whole glass unit has to be replaced. We can measure and replace the unit.My window is fogged, and I’ve heard it can be un-fogged without having to be replaced?
When a window becomes foggy, it means that the perimeter seal has failed. This failure allows the insulating air or gas to escape and outside air—carrying moisture—to enter.
The fundamental flaw of DIY defogging kits is that they only treat the symptom (the trapped moisture) and completely ignore the root cause (the broken seal). Drilling holes and installing vents does not repair the failed seal. In fact, it permanently alters the sealed environment of the window.
The best solution is to replace the window.
Why does my glass have a greenish tint?
There are 2 different reasons. Either you have standard clear glass that is made from sand and naturally contains iron oxide, which creates a green hue. Or you have a window that is using LoE glass, an energy-efficient glass that blocks UV light.Clear Glass vs. Low Iron Glass?
Clear glass is not completely clear; it has a subtle green tint. Clear annealed glass is the baseline. It naturally contains iron impurities that give the glass a green tint. For many homeowners, this look feels familiar and works well with neutral stone, darker tile, or earth-tone palettes where a faint green cast is not distracting. Low Iron Glass is clear, with no visible green tint. In a frameless shower, low-iron glass doesn't reflect the green hue on white or light-colored tile. It is more expensive and can cost up to 40% more than clear glass.
